Our Cultural Commons Is Here
Are We Sleepwalking Into Doom or Hope?
Installation sketch for Hannam University, Daejeon, South Korea with representations of drought and sea level rise. Aviva Rahmani 2026
As I complete work due for South Korea now, I am reflecting on thinking that came out of the anthology I just finished co-editing with Gale Elston on art & environmental justice for Routledge. Legally, I believe the world is facing what it means to confront our relationships to our cultural commons which embraces the ecosystems, the communities in relationship to that commons and the (eco) art that interfaces with it.
